Fourth Symposium Pharmacy Health Care – Medication Therapy Management (MTM), Hypertension, Dyslipidemia, and Obesity – Smart Pharmacist Module 4

It is a great honor and pleasure, on behalf of the Association of Private Pharmacies of the Republic of North Macedonia (APPNM), to invite you to the Fourth Symposium on Pharmaceutical Healthcare, which will be held on November 14–15, 2025, at the Hotel Hilton in Skopje.

The theme of this year’s Symposium is:
Medication Therapy Management (MTM) in Hypertension, Dyslipidemia, and Obesity – Smart Pharmacist Module 4.

Through a rich and dynamic program, the Symposium will feature lectures by leading international and domestic experts, including Ariana Meštrović (Pharma Expert) and Michael Rouse (American Pharmacists Association – APhA), who will share the latest trends and best practices in the field of Medication Therapy Management (MTM).

MTM, especially in conditions such as hypertension, dyslipidemia, and obesity, is becoming a key component of modern pharmaceutical practice—both for community pharmacists and hospital pharmacists.

The Symposium will cover several key aspects:

• The pharmacist’s role in public health – current trends in practice
• Emerging trends and best practices in education, specialization, and clinical implementation of MTM models
• The MTM model of the American Pharmacists Association (APhA)
• Medication therapy management – clinical aspects and decision-making in MTM processes, illustrated through 10 complex case studies in hypertension, dyslipidemia, and obesity
• SWOT analysis and MTM business planning
• Change management in MTM
• The role of hospital pharmacists – a global overview
• Integrated and multidisciplinary approaches – collaboration with general practitioners, specialists, and other healthcare professionals

Our goal is to provide practical knowledge, tools, and inspiration for pharmacists as part of multidisciplinary teams working to improve patient health.
