Dear Colleagues and Healthcare Professionals,
The Association of General Practitioners and Family Medicine – AGP-FM, with great honor and pleasure, announces the organization of the 27th Symposium, which will be held from April 24 to 26, 2026, at the Hilton Hotel – Skopje, under the title:
“Four Systems – One Individual”
This symposium is conceived as a professional and scientific platform dedicated to a modern, integrated, and multidisciplinary approach to healthcare, placing the patient as a whole at the center of attention, rather than focusing solely on the disease or an affected organ system. The title of the symposium reflects the essential role of the family physician as a coordinator of healthcare, connecting different levels and medical specialties in the best interest of a single individual.
The scientific and professional program of the symposium will cover a wide range of current and clinically relevant topics from everyday medical practice, including:
- Arrhythmias, with an emphasis on early detection and appropriate management in primary healthcare
- Primary and secondary hypertension, as leading cardiovascular risk factors
- Rare diseases, focusing on diagnostic challenges and the role of the family physician
- Hepatitis, including timely recognition, monitoring, and referral
- Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), as a common clinical problem in daily practice
- Neurological conditions – from epilepsy and migraine to stroke, with a special focus on early diagnosis and intervention
- Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and asthma (COPD and asthma), including diagnosis, treatment, and long-term follow-up
- Free topics, allowing the presentation of new scientific findings, clinical experiences, and practical case examples
Through expert lectures, panel discussions, and interactive exchange of experiences, the symposium aims to contribute to the advancement of knowledge and clinical skills among healthcare professionals, to encourage multidisciplinary collaboration, and to strengthen the role of general practice and family medicine within the modern healthcare system.
